Punk Activists from Paris, the close friends in UNION JACK have spent the last 12 years developing  a tight and original take on the Punk Style.  Adding touches of hip hop, turntable scratching, and high speed Ska rhythms, the power-trio live unit have been collaborating in the studio with DJ LOW CUT. (another Parisian fixture).  Union Jack have just released their new album "Tales of Urban Freedom (2009)", a genuine reflection of all the music that has inspired them ( punk, ska, hip hop, rock 'n roll) featuring sharp and personal lyrics that reflect the urban and political philosophies of the band: Rejection of a consumption-based society, Embracing of friendship, solidarity, environmental awareness, and ultimately: self-responsibility.

Continuing Punk Rock's D.I.Y. (Do it Yourself) philosophy, the members of Union Jack extensively tour France and Europe while collectively running their own label, BEER RECORDS, which released their previous records (2004's "You don't really know who I am" and 2007's "Songs from the grave",  -split CD w/ The Gerbs), as well as Vinyl and CD compilations of like-minded bands from across the globe.  2009's TALES OF URBAN FREEDOM is being released in collaboration with the Guerilla Asso Label, another strong fixture in the French activist and punk scene.
